TRAINING PROGRAM BOOSTS EMPLOYMENT AND PROTECTS REEF AT THE SAME TIME
A federally-funded training program has helped boost youth employment in Cairns and protect the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) simultaneously, with a group of young locals receiving Certificate III’s in Tourism and Occupational Diving and also culling the coral eating Crown of Thorns Starfish (COTS) at the same time.
