Tourism Barometers (MTSRF Programs 8 and 9)

The following quarterly reports, or Tourism Barometers, form a series presented by the MTSRF and James Cook University on rainforest and reef tourism in the Wet Tropics and Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Areas. Data presented in the following reports summarise the results of data collection in North Queensland on a quarterly basis since November 2006. Results include visitors’ socio-demographic characteristics and travel behaviour, alternative destinations considered, motivations for travel, holiday planning and potential activities.
