Theme 4 - Sustainable Use and Management

Sustainable use of North Queensland’s natural assets is critical to maintaining the environmental, social and economic values of the region. The research results will provide knowledge and options for promoting sustainable use and minimising adverse impact on the natural assets.

Theme 4 currently involves two Programs:

Program 8 - Sustainable Use and Management of Marine Resources of the Great Barrier Reef (Research Providers:  JCU, AIMS, CSIRO)

Program 9 - Sustainable Use, Planning and Management of Tropical Rainforested Landscapes (Research Providers:  JCU, UQ, GU)
